I am a computational cognitive scientist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bowdoin College in Maine, where I lead the Lexicon Lab. I am interested in how we learn the meaning of words, how we cooperate as social agents, and how search unfolds within our mental lexicon. Before embracing the idyllic coast of Maine, I spent a year at Indiana University working with Mike Jones and did my doctoral work with Dave Balota at Washington University in St. Louis. I majored in mathematics and computing as an undergraduate at IIT Delhi and then took a deep dive into liberal arts at Ashoka University, which ultimately brought me to cognitive science!
